OCECD has parent mentors assigned to regions throughout the state of Ohio, please click here for the list. These parent mentors provide advocacy services for free, as well as free parent training. Please check their website for any training opportunities in your area. You may also request training topics in your area, such as a dyslexia simulation, screening of a dyslexia movie with a following Q&A session, or just a presentation to learn more about dyslexia. Parent mentors may be able to sponsor such opportunities, working in conjunction with one of the local branches of the International Dyslexia Association.
